Our goal has always been to help designers get the most out of their printing and our Duotone Stipple Comparator is our latest effort in this regard.

The original Stipple Comparators allow designers to use a large number of stipple strengths in a design, with a predictable outcome. When combining two different spot colours however; the unpredictability again rears its ugly (and potentially costly) head.

We have developed our Duotone comparators to address this problem.

Working in a similar manner to our single colour comparators, our Duotone comparators allow you to directly compare 49 different combinations of two overprinted colours, on the stock of your choice.

If you’ve ever overprinted two stipples of spot colours, you are likely aware of the difficulty in predicting the outcome. By being able to see and directly compare 49 different possible combinations, you can not only eliminate the unpredictability, but it allows an entirely new scope for design, where you can safely use a dozen different combinations, without having to worry if the end result will work, or for that matter even be visible.
