VITAL INFORMATION FOR PRINT DESIGN AND ORDERING
Recently, while digging through old files we uncovered a tome of wisdom, buried through the ages. It was scrawled with handwritten notes in a foreign tongue and barely decipherable.

We have since translated this ancient document into text understandable to the modern English speaking person and found that within it lay the answers to the confusion of many.

Or, to be plain, we found in a recent survey that one of the biggest troubles people have with ordering print (especially at the design stage) is in communicating the actual requirements and getting the appropriate advice from their printers. In fact it has become quite apparent that there simply is no training available to designers, at or outside of university, where they can learn what is actually needed in what should be a simple task, getting a quote for printing.

So we went through our files and found a document used as a brief guide to our sales reps on what information needs to be gathered for what kind of job and what are some common issues to watch out for.

We've now expanded on that simple document and converted it into a format that is readable and useful to someone outside the printing industry and are making it available for everyones' use!

So finally you can download right here our Information Required for Quoting document.

This is going to be the first of a series. It contains a handful of vital technical details that come up with all kinds of jobs, as well as a full list of the information needed to accurately quote different items and things to consider for cost savings. If you aren't a professional print estimator, you NEED this document.
